This page covers notes for PrintGL 1.26 that are not included in the
v1.24 manual.
The GEM IMG output format (/FG) has been dropped.
Low resolution (180 dpi) Canon BJ and BJC drivers have been dropped.
The O suboption of /L (pen overwrite mode) has been dropped. Pen
overwrite mode is now the default. Translucent pens may be selected
with the /C option.
/F0 drives HP-GL/2 raster devices. The nominal output resolution may
be appended to the /F option, for example /F0 300. The actual device
resolution may also be appended, for example /F0 300,303,299
/FG drives the Pacific Data Products ProTracer.
/FV* drives VESA VGA screens at 1024x768. /FV+, the VESA 800x600
driver has been fixed.
The nominal output resolution of PostScript or HP-GL may be appended
to the /F option, for example /FS 600. HP-GL with dashed lines, at
other than 1016 dpi, requires HP 7550 enhanced IW mode.
The PostScript XP macro selects a paper tray. To use it set a prefix
code such as /J48 32 88 80 for tray 1 or /J49 32 88 80 for tray 2.
Line width N turns a pen off.
/F7+ is a two pass BJ-330 driver, which gives dark print and
eliminates indexing gaps.
/FB+ is a BJC driver with sparse line to line overlap.
/F8 adds support for the HP 7220.
The H suboption of /X has been dropped.
Esc breaks out of PrintGL, leaving the printer ready for new data.
Ctrl-Break (as before) stops PrintGL immediately and a printer reset
is usually needed in this case.
Print size correction can be specified as a multiplier to the
nominal resolution (.5 to 2), for example /F7 1.0,1.01 is equivalent
to /F7 360,363.6 for a 360 dpi printer.
The E suboption of /Y sets HP 7550 enhanced IW command mode.
